What to Expect

Welcome!

Pastor smiling in the pulpit.

Welcome to Martin Luther Church! We’d love to have you join us for worship on Sunday morning. At the center of our life together as a Lutheran parish is the Divine Service, our weekly Sunday worship service where we gather together as God’s people to confess our sins and receive absolution, receive God’s gifts of Word and Sacraments, offer up prayers and petitions, and respond in thanksgiving and praise. During special seasons of the church year in Advent and Lent, we also have midweek services on Wednesday evenings.

We offer the Sacrament of Holy Communion every week. In Holy Communion we believe that Jesus gives us his own body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of our sins. We ask that, in keeping with God’s Word, only confirmed members who are in confessional unity with our church (WELS and ELS) would come forward to receive this sacrament. If you have any questions or are interested in communicant membership, please speak with the pastor.

In a time of change and moral chaos, God’s Word offers us His timeless, unchanging truth. In a time of uncertainty and fear, God’s love and mercy in Christ give us sure and certain hope. Come join us and experience God’s love for you!

Bring the Kids

We love having families worship together. Children need to hear the forgiveness of sins, too. We’re working on starting a family ministry at Martin Luther to support moms with young children, offer resources for homeschoolers, and offer opportunities for education, service, and fellowship for older students. Our goal is to build a community that finds its beating heart at the church.
