Can we ever measure God’s love for us? No measurement can ever convey how great it is. But we can see what it looks like. It looks like the cross. The cross is the measure of God’s love. It’s the measure of his gracious will. He is the one who gives us a faith to trust in him and who strengthens that faith by Word and Sacrament. And so to him we cry, “Lord, we are unworthy servants. Increase our faith, that we may ever cling to you!”
