Your loving Savior knows you by name. His suffering on the cross was for you. His righteous life was for you. His death and resurrection for you. In Word and Sacrament he bestows on you his promises and his precious saving love. Don’t waste this life living for passing luxuries or trying to preserve that which is temporary. Don’t fall for the trap of measuring people by success and human accomplishments. Instead, put your trust in Jesus, the one who died and rose for you. He is your help in this life. He will welcome you to recline at his side at the banquet above.
