Thanks be to God that Jesus doesn’t reject us! He himself is the one who cures our malaise, takes away our despair, and forgives our sins. He who sent those 72 continues in his grace to send us messengers to proclaim his kingdom. Through the work of those servants our Lord washes us in baptism and feeds us in his supper. He makes us his dear children. Each day in him is a new day to trust him and to share the harvest of blessings he gives us with one another.
