Dear Disciple of Jesus, the Lord’s Supper is your great heirloom. Our gracious God has bound you to himself and he binds you to one another. Jesus himself is your inheritance. He makes his body your food and his blood your drink. By honoring this Supper you honor Jesus himself. And through it, Jesus gives you life. The one who eats from the tree of life cannot die. The one who eats and drinks of Jesus lives forever.
