What is God like? God is so far beyond us that we can’t begin to understand him. But God wants us to know him as our Savior. Jesus reveals to us the love of our God, the love that takes our place, that takes our sins on himself, that makes himself our servant, that calls us his own brothers and sisters. When doubts trouble you, look at the manger, look at the boy in the temple, look at the teacher with his disciples, look at the cross and the empty tomb. That is our loving God. That is our Savior-God. That is a God who is like us.
