Jesus tells us to be ready. Don’t be weighed down by sin, so that the Judgment catches you off guard, like a trap. Instead, fill your life with prayer and repentance. Look for those signs to which Jesus points us. Confess your sins to him. Ask for his forgiveness. Hear his word which stands forever. By his strength, by his grace, you will be ready. The signs are there. Look around, they’re everywhere you go. This world is passing away. But Jesus has not forgotten you. No, he’s coming. It’s beginning to look like your redemption is near!
